Zemithang is known for its expansive golden farmlands, wide-open valleys, and majestic mountains. Zemithang literally translates to "river-swept land." It is on the Nyamjang Chu riverbank. The last administrative division of India is the Zemithang Circle, which is located west of the border with Bhutan and the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
