tasking is located on the southern bank of the Subansiri River just after it flows into India from the west. On the south bank of the river between Gelensiniak and Taksing there are traditional hiking trails. The southern bank of the Subansiri River is densely populated with more than a dozen villages belonging to Taksing Circle. The Indian Border Roads Organization (BRO) constructed the road between Gelendzhniak and Taksing from 2009 to 2018.
