Puttur in the Tirupati district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, knowns as Puttur Kattu (bandage) is a traditional way of bone-setting practice. This healing village dates back to 1881. Now, the fourth generation is providing their services to 200-300 patients per day from all parts of the country and also abroad, as far as Singapore, Malaysia, and West Asian countries. Traditional bone-setting healing is limited to people of only one caste with the surname "Raju" and their close relatives in the Kshatriya community.
