The main objective of WGV is to promote the rural tourism and introduce place of tourist interest and also to introduce Indian historical and cultural heritage to low budget tourists. This global village project is situated in village called surajpur near to famous Khajuraho temple town in Madya Pradesh.
WGV started functioning, evolving into a model of sustainability using traditional knowledge and cultural practices. It closely works with the farmers in various clusters of villages in development of organic agriculture, education for children, local handicrafts and other village developmental activities. People will stay in the traditional family homes with the family and eat delicious traditional food. The Ultimate goal of the WGV would be to regenerate soil, conserve water, raise the water table, work along “Natural Farming” methods towards a model of self-sufficiency on all fronts.
Any Rural tourism enthusiast can pay a visit to this global village and can expect a simple & traditional but comfortable living and Home cooked vegetarian food will be served and it will be mostly from the ingredients grown locally and one can enjoy rural life for a short span of time. Other nearby attractions are Khajuraho temples, Raneh falls, Pandav falls, Ken river, Panna Tiger Reserve and many more.
