The one and only tea estate in the State produces one of the top quality teas for the International Market. The garden was established in the year 1969 and cover an area of 177 hectares (440 acres). The garden is laid over a gentle hill slope and commands a panoramic view of the Mt. Khangchendzonga. The tea produced in this garden is market under the name “Temi Tea”. The visit to the factory could be an eye opener for those wanting to know about tea processing methods. One can visit the cafeterias for refreshment and to try the tea. One can even spend a night or two at the Cherry Resort set amidst the lush green tea gardens.
