Samad Rakchan is a village in the Leh district of the Indian union territory of Ladakh. It is located in the Nyoma tehsil, at an elevation of 5,166 meters (16,949 feet). The village is surrounded by high mountains and arid landscapes. The main economic activity in the village is agriculture, with the villagers growing crops such as barley, wheat, and peas. The villagers also raise livestock, such as sheep, goats, and yaks. The village is also located near the Pangong Tso lake.
