Masroor: The Fifteen richly carved monolithic rock temples sculpted in the splendid style of the Kailash temple at Ellora, dating back to the 8th century AD can be seen at Masroor. Excavated from a single sandstone ridge, the monolithic temples at Masroor, is just 40km from Kangra town. These monolithic temples represent early rock-cut traditions in India. It is an ASI protected monument. Images of Ram, Sita and Lakshman are depicted in the sanctum of the main temple. It is visitable round the year. Nearest narrow gauze railway station is at Nagrota Suriyan (10 km).
