Farm Stay
Rangbhang Retreat
- Description
Rangbhang Retreat defines itself as a perfect holiday destination for an exotic and offbeat farm stay experience. Located at the foothills of the Himalayas in the district of Darjeeling and towards the western Nepal border, our farm stay lies amidst the private farmland & pine forest backdrop. Towards the southeast direction from the farm stay, lies the Chamong Tea Estate. Rangbhang busty is scantly populated by the local inhabitants who earn their livelihood by growing organic crops and vegetables and by rearing cattle and poultries. Weather remains sunny and pleasant during the spring and autumn season and one can view breathtaking sunrise from the farm stay premises and balcony. Rangbhang is actually a very isolated place where one can avail a true escape experience away from the hustle and bustle of city life. One can, however, spend quality time for a day or two amidst the Himalayan forest. Wild animals such as leopards, deer, foxes, hares, squirrels, wild boars, and even wild fouls have their dwellings in the surrounding jungle and most of them frequent the outskirt of the village in the evening time or at night. Beautiful and colorful birds draw the attention of bird watchers, especially in the morning hours. To add more beauty and adventure to this location, there are waterfalls within the forest which can be reached with half an hour of hiking. Arrangements for pick-and-drop facilities up to the airport or railway station can be done on request. For sightseeing, the first easy access is to the beautiful Kanyam Tea Estate located in Nepal. Mirik Lake and Tamakoshi tourist spots are also quite near. We also make arrangements for travelers who wish to go to Sandakphu via Manebhangyang from here.
