Lepchajagat is a small village in the forest at an elevation of 6,956 feet (i.e. 2123 meters) located 19 km away from Derjeeling situated on the route that connects Ghoom and Sukhiapokhari. Lepchajagat means "Lepcha tribe shelter" in the original language. The main draw of Lepchajagat is its proximity to Darjeeling while still allowing you to remain in a lovely village with stunning natural vistas. It attracts nature lovers because of its peaceful atmosphere and stunning views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and its surrounding peaks.

Pashupati
Pashupati is a Nepalese settlement on the Indo-Nepal border, around 15 kilometres or 30 minutes' drive from Lepchajagat. Indian tourists are permitted to enter Nepal for shopping and other purposes after passing through the border checkpoint; however, Indian tourist vehicles are not permitted to enter.
Sukiapokhar
Sukiapokhar, located along the Indo-Bhutan border, is a popular tourist destination in Lepchajagat. Sukiapokhari, located 5 kilometres from Lepchajagat, is noted for its unobstructed view of the Himalayan Range. Sukiapokhari, with its vibrant market, provides guests staying in Lepchajagat with the opportunity to purchase souvenirs.
Manebhanjan
Manebhanjan is a peaceful woodland settlement notable for being the starting point for visiting Sandakphu's peak. Sandakphu, at a height of 3636 metres, is notable for providing a panoramic view of the world's tallest peak. Manebhanjan is another attraction worth seeing when in Lepchajagat. The distance between Manebhanjan and Lepchajagat is only 11 kilometres. Tourists visiting Manebhanjan will be able to see the world's greatest collection of vintage Land Rovers. Land Rover Jeep Safari to Sandukphu is a popular tourist attraction in Manebhanjan.
Jorepokhari
Another popular destination to visit when staying at Lepchajagat WBFDC Forest Bungalow is Jorepokhari, which is surrounded by the beautiful forest of Senchel Wildlife Sanctuary. "Jore" means "Twin" and "Pokhari" means "Lake" in the original tongue. Jorepokhari is also one of the few remaining habitats for the Himalayan Salamander. Apart from being the home of the endangered Himalayan Salamander, Jorepokhari is also known for its breath-taking views of Mt Kanchenjunga.
