Komaravelly
Telangana
- Description
Komaravelly is a village in Telangana, 24 kilometers from Siddipet and 35 kilometers from Aler Railway Station. It is known for the Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple and the famous Komaravelly Jatra, a fair that starts on the first Sunday after the Sankranti festival and continues until Ugadi. Many people from different parts of India, including Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, visit this temple. Recently, a two-way road with lighting has been built to improve access to the temple. The village is environmentally conscious, using solar street lights and planting trees under the Telangana ku Harithaharam program. Bio-toilets have been installed near the temple, and regular cleaning drives are conducted under the Palle Pragathi program. Social inclusion is promoted, with people from all communities participating in local businesses. Efforts are made to ban single-use plastics, and cloth and jute bags are provided instead. The village is committed to improving infrastructure and promoting tourism.
