Gamshali, Uttarakhand
Gamshali is a small village in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. It is located in the Niti valley, about 6 km from the last village before the Indo-Tibetian border. Gamshali is one of the largest and most populated villages in the Niti valley, but during the winter months, the inhabitants of the village migrate to lower altitudes.
The village is surrounded by dense forests and snow-capped mountains, making it a perfect place to enjoy the natural beauty of the Himalayas. Gamshali is also a popular base for trekkers, as it is located near several popular trekking trails, including the Guptkhal Trek and the Bhyundar Khal Trek.
The village is home to several temples and shrines, including the famous Gamshali Temple. The village also hosts a number of festivals and fairs throughout the year.
