Chayangtajo is a small town on a scenic hilltop overlooking the Himalayas. Chayantajo is one of the oldest towns in Arunachal Pradesh, India. It is located in East Kameng district, 37.50 km north by air and 81 km by road from Seppa district headquarters. Chayantajo is where the Kameng River rises from the Himalayas. The high peaks remain snow-capped for most of the year. There are several high-altitude lakes. The northern border is close to the Indo-China border.
