Baradari is a Village in the Sahebganj District of Jharkhand. It is located 60 KM towards the south of the district headquarters Sahibganj. Baradari was the residence of Fateh Jang Khan, a close confidant of Akbar. It is being preserved by the Archaeological Survey of India. It got its name as the palace has 12 doors and was built by Fateh Jang Khan on the shore of the Ganges. The Ganges' beauty complements the area's natural splendor. The more you explore, the more fascinated you will get by the culture and natural beauty of this place. Baradari is built on raised land and is walled of 9 m high brick wall on an area of approximately 300 sq m. It's surrounded by a water body on 3 sides and stepped all around, adding to the beauty of the structure. It has been conserved and gives a good view of the river Ganges. This area is also known for the china clay mines, which were famous and are still functional since the British period.
