Agricultural Development Trust of Baramati is in the district of Pune in the state of Maharashtra. It focuses on farming community's growth using cutting-edge agricultural technologies combined with extension, demonstration, teaching, and upcoming research. And utilizing innovation and knowledge exchange between India and other nations, to address local and international requirements and difficulties in the agriculture industry.
The entire Baramati area was prone to drought in the 1970s, and agriculture was entirely dependent on the monsoon. Water conservation was urgently needed for the survival and livelihood support. To combat this natural obstacle, it was needed to train the farmers to use scientific methods and techniques in dry land horticulture and rainfed agriculture. This led to the creation of Agricultural Development Trust of Baramati in 1971.
Today it is developed as one of the main Agri Rural Tourism destination of the country.
